Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using Sports Card Scanner - CardHit ("CardHit", "the App", "we", "our", or "us").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CardHit, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

CardHit is a mobile application that allows users to scan sports cards using their device camera, identify cards using artificial intelligence, view estimated market values, browse eBay listings, and manage a personal card collection.

3. AI-Powered Features

CardHit uses Google Gemini AI to identify sports cards and estimate values. You acknowledge that:

• AI identification may not always be accurate. Card details (player, year, brand, set, card number) should be verified by the user.
• Estimated values are approximations based on available market data and AI analysis. They are not financial advice and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for buying, selling, or insuring cards.
• Card images are sent to third-party AI services (Google Gemini via Vercel AI Gateway) for processing. Images are not stored or used for training.

4. No Financial Advice

CardHit provides estimated card values for informational purposes only. We make no guarantees about the accuracy of any valuation. Card values fluctuate based on market conditions, player performance, card condition, and other factors. We are not liable for any financial decisions made based on information provided by the App.

5. Appropriate Use

CardHit is designed to scan sports cards only. You agree not to:

• Upload photos containing personal information, faces, or sensitive content
• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or tamper with the App or its services
• Use automated tools to send excessive requests to our servers
• Resell or redistribute data obtained through the App

6. eBay Affiliate Links

Some of the links provided in this app are eBay affiliate links. This means we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase through these links at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence card valuations or search results.

7. Trademarks

CardHit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any sports card manufacturer, grading company, or sports league. All trademarks, brand names, and logos — including but not limited to Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, Bowman, Donruss, Fleer, PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC, CSG, NBA, MLB, NFL, NHL, and MLS — are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.

8. User Data

Your collection data is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your collection. If you delete the App, your collection data will be lost unless you have backed it up. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

9. Rate Limits

To ensure fair use and protect our services, the App enforces rate limits on scanning (10 scans per minute, 200 scans per day per device). Exceeding these limits will result in temporary restrictions.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT AI IDENTIFICATIONS AND VALUATIONS WILL BE ACCURATE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FINANCIAL LOSSES BASED ON CARD VALUATIONS PROVIDED BY THE APP.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate jurisdiction.
